How To Get To Poptropica

"Byebyebillag"

A laudable in itself is here in advance preparation: byebyebillag.ch

Contrary to what the title might suggest, but it is unfortunately not about to adopt wholly or Billag . throw in the final and proper result state-subsidized media to the trash heap of red tape, but it will be only the "fees" reduced to a kind of socially acceptable minimum (CHF 100) and collected together with the taxes. This gradual increase is inevitable again. In addition, it would protect the existence of the debt collector Billag virtually cemented [ UPDATE 05.12.2008, 18:12:] or more precisely, it can not give government subsidization of the media would be called into question, but evidence of the contrary .. .

also are just as wrong as around CHF 100 CHF in the 450 year. Just do a little less painful. But there is no valid reason that the state distributes tax subsidies and media houses. This is just watching the TV and radio officials (of the 23 stations in Switzerland! * ) on the market by the taxpayer entertained. That the silence of the so-called "private" station is now also paid for by "concessions", makes the embezzlement of tax money, only more severe.

The promoters of byebyebillag should take advantage of its momentum and success rather to demand the abolition of the planned economy in the media sector in general. The monopoly must fall. It can not be that tax dollars are from the political distributed to the Medienfilz. All right, the state can still maintain a radio station that operates for the purpose of disseminating information in times of need. This would be the "public service" done far enough.

Steinbrück and prohibit Switzerland

You have to control the German Minister Peer Steinbrueck even understand a little. He feels despair at the the bankrupt, who desperately needed money, and it (self-inflicted?) Escapes between the fingers. It reminds me a little of the involuntary withdrawal of a drug, which will at some point all the resources right ...

Switzerland and other tax "moderate" countries may therefore harder Get ready times. The German-French high-tax cartel is mainly within the OECD will soon help protect the U.S.: Once Obama is president, will fly around the world again a rougher control wind. Obama is well known, a left-wing fighter against the "tax avoidance" and especially want to avoid that U.S. taxpayers perceive their fundamental rights and vote with their feet.

I recently (came from the New-FDP?) Heard the half-serious suggestion that Switzerland should now recognize tax evasion as a ground for asylum. Why not? A state that fully taxed at prohibitive rates and raises constitutional principles overboard when it benefits him (see Liechtenstein / LGT-case) is different in my eyes a little from pure totalitarian country of persecution of freedom of expression violated systematically and regime opponents in jail raises.

Therefore, tax evaders of all countries united, you and come to us! Switzerland is still a (relative) home of freedom.

Samuel Schmid: right "depending déciderai plus tard" human

Samuel Schmid d'éviter ses assume responsabilité:
DEFENSE . Roland Nef suspendu est jusqu'au juillet 20th Le Conseil fédéral alors sur tranchera the fate of the army chief, said Defence Minister Samuel Schmid told reporters Monday. The Appenzeller will by then bring the evidence we can trust him.
was tempted to say that by then, the press will do it, to bring more evidence! Obviously, we do not retain the lessons in communication in Bern. After stupidly tried to hide facts that would inevitably appear sooner or later, hopefully now that time will solve the problems.

People working in and for the army have deserved better than that. Driving (political and military) of the army remains seriously put in question. One who left his party when he no longer needed to be confirmed in office (it is generally accepted that he will resign before they must be represented in 2011) postponing the time to make the tough decisions - rather worrying for a minister who has the "skill" to shoot down civilian aircraft in a crisis. We've seen characters stronger than that.

Apart from some well-defined units, the Army is currently suffering a major crisis counseling. This crisis usually occurs through a dilapidated and ostensible concern for the discipline and in particular through accidents and incidents followed by awkward reactions from the military and political conduct of the army. Including Nef reaction to the accident on the Kander said he would now prohibit any exercise no direct link with the main mission amounted to a simple withdrawal of confidence in his commanders. I doubt that it enhances the status of senior militia into the army.

The case has also become a Nef Schmid. Having misled the Federal Council, after long avoided taking a position to protect his "CdA" and now by postponing the decision binding on later Samuel Schmid a suffisamment manifesté ses défaillances en matière de conduite et de responsabilité. On espère en vain qu'il saura tirer les conséquences de sa propre incompétence.

Supreme Court says Americans have right to guns

The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Americans have a right to own guns for self-defense and hunting, the justices' first major pronouncement on gun rights in U.S. history.

The court's 5-4 ruling struck down the District of Columbia's 32-year-old ban on handguns as incompatible with gun rights under the Second Amendment. The decision went further than even the Bush administration wanted, but probably leaves most firearms laws intact.

The court had not conclusively interpreted the Second Amendment since its ratification in 1791. The amendment reads: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

The basic issue for the justices was whether the amendment protects an individual's right to own guns no matter what, or whether that right is somehow tied to service in a state militia. (...)

As gun-control laws merely manage to give a competitive advantage to outlaws (burglars, murderers, the police state and other vilains), this judgement is a great step towards more individual liberty.

Well done, Ireland!

Ireland rejects EU reform treaty with 53.4 percent "no" vote
While the Eurocrats tried to double-cross some 500 million citizens with the so-called "Lisbon reform treaty" after the aborted "constitution" in 2005, the brave Irish people has shown the red card to Brussels. The reform treaty does not contain especially bad things compared to the existing treaty. But the Irish vote is a good thing because it hampers European integration as it is presently understood by Eurocrats, namely: more centralization, more taxes, less liberty. The Irish have been the only people to be able to express their opinion on the issue. This mere fact that a sufficient reason to reject the reform treaty and the buraucracy it stands for.

Rapid Heartbeat And Sport

loss of reality

From today's press conference Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf on voting results:
The decision of the Central Committee of the SVP Switzerland is not surprising. "I think that the exclusion of a party, a cantonal exclusion without precedent," said the Grisons. Objective could be the SVP Graubünden accused of anything. The whole thing they agree very thoughtful, it was a collective punishment. But it was not partisan and will not continue to be. Currently they sit still for the SVP in the Bundesrat. You've discussed each step with the SVP Graubünden and will now analyze the situation with her now. The party will mobilize all positive forces. "I'll stay with my SVP Graubünden here," said the Federal Councillor.
now she is therefore a member of any party of the order off, should not even reach the green water. Ms Widmer-Schlumpf is not only no longer a member of a relevant party at the federal level, but it takes absolutely no political power more serious. Thus it has in the government really lost anything. Ms Widmer-Schlumpf now seems to acknowledge but not to do that she was alone, standing at the beginning of this development and with the political arch-enemies into bed. For all the political agreement I had with her wealthy, this woman is not truly portable.

Israeli-Syrian peace talks?

This is certainly dramatic news. Though many rumors spread in the last months on this issue, it is actually quite unexpected to get an official confirmation now on contacts between the two countries. It is especially remarkable when remembering that Israel obviously Carried out a successful airstrike against Syrian nuclear facilities last September. This might show that Israel really considered the threat at the time to be very serious since this attack could have very well compromised any such sensitive talks.

Anyway, it may of course be naive to place any hope in such negotiations. But the very fact that they take place is remarkable and not at all comparable to the regular pro-forma meetings with the Palestinians. Compared to the Iran-Syria-Hezbollah clique, the Palestinians are a mere junior ennemy. Syria's stakes are however quite high and, considering its alliances and commitments, it will be very difficult to find a way to deal with Damascus. In any case, the price the parties would come to pay will be an expensive one.

Also, it would be quite ironic that these political steps should take place under such a weak and disappointing politician as Ehud Olmert. However, it seems that such talks have started back in 2004 , i.e. while Ariel Sharon was in office. After his defeating of Palestinian terrorism and his withdrawal from Gaza, this would definitely make Ariel Sharon Israel's first hero in the 21st century.

Mazel Tov, Israel

60 years ago, on 14 May 1948 at 4 p.m ., David Ben-Gurion read a 979-word declaration of independence in front of a small audience at the Tel Aviv Art Museum. He finished, "The state of Israel is established! The meeting is ended." At midnight, British rule over Palestine lapsed.
Happy Birthday, Israel.
