A plane carrying gold from the Bank of France in Hungary was attacked by gangsters from the air. The plane crashed in flames and a mysterious truck won the ingots by hiding in bags of flour. The famous and sympathetic reporter and detective Rouletabille is just on holiday in Budapest, where he had the opportunity to save from drowning the young Rosy, daughter of Commissioner Bathory.
